Marcus Center Winter School on Quantum Many-Body Simulation
About this event
The Marcus Center's Winter School on Quantum Many-Body Simulation is designed to introduce students and early-career researchers to:
- Ab initio quantum chemistry
- AFQMC
- DMRG in models and chemistry
- Quantum algorithms
- Quantum embedding
- Tensor networks, quantum many-body and circuit simulation
Format
The school is expected to run over three and a half days at the end of winter quarter 2026. The main program will consist of lectures and hands-on tutorials using a range of software packages on the first five topics above, followed by a concluding module on quantum algorithms. Participants will also have opportunities for discussion, office hours, and a poster session for presenting their research.
NOTE: Attendance will be in person only.
